Diagnosis and Treatment of Deformational/Positional Plagiocephaly
Grant Monaghan and Terence Garnett-Bennett published an article in the latest edition of the Focus newsletter. The editor, Sylvia Birkhead, had this to say:
“Most exciting is an article written by Grant Monaghan and Terence Garnett-Bennett, specialist orthotists, and the first practice in Africa to be certified and accredited to run the world renowned, American FDA approved treatment programme for cranial deformities. In this issue, they discuss plagiocephaly, the most common deformity, but the authors are keen to write further articles and would love to collaborate with OTs working in the field, especially considering that to date they refer mainly to physios, and when one reads the effects if the deformity is not corrected, there is lots of scope for OTs to get on board and also to educate the MDT about the role of OT. I have written a response after the article and would love to get some feedback from OTs keen to collaborate with the orthotists and to promote our profession. There are cpd points for answering MCQs on this article.”
